Warum? Why?
Die offizielle ViCare-Integration von Home Assistant kennt die Raumwerte eines Smart RoomControl nicht. ViCare Rooms schließt diese Lücke: Die Integration liest die Raum-Features direkt aus der Viessmann-API und legt für jeden Raum ein eigenes Gerät mit Temperatur- und Feuchtesensor an. Home Assistant's official ViCare integration does not expose the room values of a Smart RoomControl. ViCare Rooms fills that gap: it reads the room features directly from the Viessmann API and creates a device with temperature and humidity sensors for every room.
Funktionen Features
- Ein Gerät pro Raum, verknüpft mit einem RoomControl-Hub-Gerät.
- Temperatur und Luftfeuchte je Raum, mit lokalisierten Entitätsnamen über Device Classes – funktioniert in jeder Home-Assistant-Sprache.
- Automatische Erkennung von Installation, Gateway und RoomControl; bei mehreren Gateways ein Config-Eintrag pro Gateway.
- Eigene Raumnamen über den Konfigurieren-Dialog. Der Namens-Endpunkt der Viessmann-API ist kostenpflichtig; ist das Paket gebucht, werden die echten Namen automatisch verwendet.
- Robust bei API-Störungen: Abfrage alle 5 Minuten, letzte Werte werden bis zu 30 Minuten weitergereicht.
- Eigenes Brand-Icon, das Home Assistant ab 2026.3 automatisch übernimmt.
- One device per room, linked to a RoomControl hub device.
- Temperature and humidity per room, with localized entity names via device classes – works in every Home Assistant language.
- Automatic discovery of installation, gateway and RoomControl; one config entry per gateway if you have several.
- Custom room names via the Configure dialog. The Viessmann name endpoint is monetized; if your API package includes it, real names are used automatically.
- Resilient to API outages: polled every 5 minutes, last known values are kept for up to 30 minutes.
- Own brand icon, picked up automatically by Home Assistant 2026.3 or newer.
Voraussetzungen Requirements
- Die offizielle ViCare-Integration muss eingerichtet sein – ViCare Rooms nutzt deren OAuth-Token und meldet sich nicht selbst an.
- Ein Viessmann-Gateway mit Smart RoomControl.
- Die Werte sind die vom RoomControl gebildeten Raum-Aggregate. Einzelwerte der Klimasensoren gibt die öffentliche Viessmann-API nicht her.
- The official ViCare integration must be set up – ViCare Rooms re-uses its OAuth token and does not authenticate on its own.
- A Viessmann gateway with a Smart RoomControl.
- Values are the room aggregates computed by the RoomControl. Individual climate-sensor readings are not available through the public Viessmann API.
Installation Installation
Über HACS als Custom Repository (Kategorie Integration) hinzufügen, installieren und Home Assistant neu starten. Anschließend unter Einstellungen → Geräte & Dienste → Integration hinzufügen nach ViCare Rooms suchen. Alternativ genügt vicare_rooms: in der configuration.yaml.
Add it in HACS as a custom repository (category Integration), install and restart Home Assistant. Then go to Settings → Devices & services → Add integration and pick ViCare Rooms. Alternatively add vicare_rooms: to configuration.yaml.

Datenschutz Privacy
Die Integration läuft in deiner eigenen Home-Assistant-Instanz und spricht ausschließlich mit der Viessmann-API – mit dem Token, den du bereits über die offizielle ViCare-Integration hinterlegt hast. Es gibt keinen Server von mir, der Daten empfängt. Dieses Projekt steht in keiner Verbindung zu Viessmann. The integration runs inside your own Home Assistant instance and talks only to the Viessmann API – using the token you already stored via the official ViCare integration. There is no server of mine that receives data. This project is not affiliated with Viessmann.
